Sara Sheppard completed Yoga Teacher Training in 2020 during the pandemic. She discovered yoga 90 days into a health and wellness journey. She woke up one day weighing 212 lbs on a 5'2" frame and decided to change her life. She started out walking a 5K every day and three months later, she walked into a hot yoga studio and it changed her life. She fell in love immediately and knew her life would never be the same. Less than a year later, she lost over 70 lbs and completed YTT.
Sara is also a grateful, recovering alcoholic/addict and enjoys volunteering her time to teach yoga to people in recovery and for women-led businesses in the Charlotte area. She looks forward to continuing to grow in her practice while helping others discover their own love and passion for yoga. Otherwise, Sara graduated from Appalachian State University in Boone NC in 2010. She is self-employed and lives in Myers Park.Â
In her free time, Sara enjoys live music, hiking, cooking, and traveling.
